The other day a great view of South through Central Maui and the West Maui Mountains presented itself during a leisurely drive, prompting me to pull over and pull out my camera! Taken in the Upcountry Maui town of Makawao, at about 1000-1500ft. below the area where 15800 Haleakala Hwy. is located; views like these are a common sight around the Upcountry Maui area!
